Shrimp and Generals Put on Pause by Weather

Jacksonville, Fla. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks, experienced their first weather interruption of 2019 on Saturday, as rain forced the suspension of their game with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The game will be resumed on Sunday at 2:05pm CT and played to nine-inning completion as part of a double-header. The second game in the double-header will be a seven-inning contest.

Prior to the game being suspended, the Generals had taken a 1-0 lead on an RBI single from outfielder Jeffrey Baez that scored first baseman Pavin Smith in the top of the first. When the game resumes, Jackson will have runners on first and second base with two men out in the top of the first.
