Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp News Release

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Huntsville Stars at Joe Davis Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

Pitcher Blake Logan has been transferred from High-A Jupiter to Jacksonville. With the Hammerheads Logan was 0-3 with a 3.79 ERA in 19 appearances and one start. Logan made one appearance earlier this season with Jacksonville, tossing two scoreless innings against Chattanooga where he only allowed a hit on July 4 at Bragan Field.

Logan began the season with Single-A Greensboro, where he was 1-1 with a 5.93 ERA in 10 relief appearances with one save. Logan was selected by the Marlins in the 13th round of the 2012 draft out of Eastern Oklahoma State Junior College, and this is the first call-up to Double-A in his career.

The Suns and Stars will be back at it on Saturday, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. CT (7:30 p.m. ET). The Suns will start right-hander Robert Morey (2-2, 5.45) while the Stars will send out a righty of their own in Eric Marzec (1-2, 3.50).

Suns fans can listen to Saturday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or through www.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET with the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show.

The 2014 season of Suns baseball is presented by EverBank, the official banking partner of the Jacksonville Suns. Sponsorships, group outings, and season / individual game tickets are currently available by calling the Suns front office at (904) 358-2846.
