
Logan County Little League Honored by Hot Rods

(Bowling Green, KY)-The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A affiliate of the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays, will honor the players and coaches from Logan County Little League at Bowling Green Ballpark on Friday night, September 4. Logan County won the Great Lakes Region, representing Kentucky in the 2009 Little League World Series.
In celebration of Logan County's run to Williamsport, PA, the team will be recognized before the Hot Rods game on Friday night against the Lexington Legends at 7:05 PM. The Logan County All-Stars will take the field with the Hot Rods for the National Anthem through the âField of Dreams' program.
Logan County advanced to the Little League World Series by winning the Great Lakes Region as an underdog. The scrappy team from Russellville made it through pool play as the fourth seed in the regional tournament, advancing to the semifinals. In the semis, Logan County upset top-seeded Illinois before winning the championship game against Bartholomew County, Indiana, punching their ticket to the World Series.
