ONE STEP CLOSER: Forward Brandon Lisowsky scored his 40th goal of the season in overtime to lift the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-3 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday.

In front of more than 4,000 fans for a midweek tilt at SaskTel Centre, the Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick sent fans home happy once again league-leading third overtime winner this season. The Port Coquitlam, BC product has 78 points in 66 games, and is second on the team in goals behind only Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov (49).

21-year-old forward Easton Armstrong extended his point streak to five games with his 33rd goal of the season. The Denver, CO product has five goals and six points on his point streak, contributing to his overall 53 points in 60 games.

The Blades are 48-13-2-3 with two games remaining in the regular season. A win in any fashion Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre against the Prince Albert Raiders would clinch the Blades the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for top regular season team in the WHL.

NEXT GAME: The Blades conclude the regular season with a weekend home-and-home series against their likely first round opponent in the playoffs. Saskatoon invades the Art Hauser Centre on Friday to take on the Prince Albert Raiders, followed by the rematch Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
