Tigers Host Rebels in Round One of the 2024 WHL Playoffs.

The first series of the 2024 WHL Playoffs has been set.

Medicine Hat will face Red Deer in Round One starting on March 29.

The series was confirmed on Wednesday after Swift Current defeated Red Deer 6-3 in regulation time, locking the Tigers in as the fourth seed and the Rebels as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

It's the first time the teams will meet in the postseason since 2015 when Medicine Hat dispatched Red Deer in five games.

The Tigers put up a 4-2-0-0 record against the Rebels in the regular season, with two of their wins requiring overtime.

Game One of the first-round series is scheduled for Friday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. MST in Medicine Hat at Co-op Place.

The series will shift to the Peavey Mart Centrium for Game 3 on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. MST.
