March 21, 2024 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Regina Pats News Release
Prince Albert, Sask. - The Regina Pats wrapped up their season series with the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday evening at the Art Hauser Centre, falling 5-1.
It was the Raiders power play that proved to be the difference tonight, scoring three times on the man-advantage, with two of them coming in the first period.
The Pats had some jump in the opening five minutes of the opening period, but Justice Christiansen's third goal in as many games opened the scoring early in the frame. Later in the first, Brayden Dube, Ryder Richie and Aiden Oiring would extend the lead to 4-0 after one.
Tanner Howe would score Regina's only goal in the contest. With the Pats getting a power play late in the third, the Prince Albert product hammered home his team leading 28th of the season. Kelton Pyne got the start, making 32 saves.
Richie led the way for the Raiders up front with three points (1G-2A) while Oiring scored twice and Christiansen picked up a pair of points (1G-1A). Prince Albert would break a three game skid thanks in part to a 25 save performance from Max Hildebrand.
