TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled defenseman Kevin Quick from the Admirals, it was announced today by Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton.

Quick, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound defenseman, has played in four games with the Lightning this season, averaging 13:22 in ice time with a plus-1 rating. He made his NHL debut with Tampa Bay on January 13 at San Jose.

Quick has appeared in 49 games with the Admirals this year in his first full professional season, recording a goal and nine points with an even rating. He netted his first AHL goal on April 3 versus Philadelphia. He has also played in 18 games with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL earlier this season, recording two goals and six points.

The 20-year-old native of Buffalo, New York, made his professional debut with Norfolk last season, registering four assists and six penalty minutes in 18 games. In 67 career AHL games - all with the Admirals - Quick has one goal and 13 points.

Prior to joining Norfolk last season, Quick had two goals and two assists in 21 games with the University of Michigan Wolverines. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round (78th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft out of The Salisbury School in Connecticut.

The Admirals will continue a season-ending four-game road trip tomorrow night against the Binghamton Senators. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m., and the game can be heard on 100.5 MAX-FM.
