Peoria Rivermen News Release
PEORIA, Ill. (April 9, 2009) - The Peoria Rivermen are playoff bound for the first time since the 2005-06 season and tickets for the first round will go on sale Monday morning. Tickets can be purchased at the Rivermen office or the Peoria Civic Center box office beginning at 10 a.m.
Ticket prices will remain the same; $20 in the lower bowl and $15 in the upper bowl. Discounted tickets are available for groups of 20 or more through the Rivermen office by calling 309-676-1040. Playoff packages are also being sold in order to give fans the ability to lock in seats and discounted prices for all potential 16 games.
Peoria will face either Rockford or Houston in the opening round of the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs. If the Rivermen can earn one more point over their last two games, or Houston drops one of their three to San Antonio over the weekend, the Rivermen will have home ice in the first round and begin play on Wednesday, April 15.
The Rivermen hit the road on Friday to take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7:30 p.m. in a potential playoff preview. The game will be broadcast live on Hippie 101.1FM as well as online at www.rivermen.net.
