
Aeros announce Calder Cup Playoff tickets on sale this Friday

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros are set to launch their "The Calder Cup, Our Reason" playoff campaign. The team announced today that single-game 2009 Calder Cup Playoff tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10 for games 'A' and 'B'. Single-game tickets will be available for purchase through the Aeros front office at (713) 974-PUCK, by calling (866) GO-AEROS, the Toyota Center Box Office, AEROS.com and select Randall's locations.
Aeros 2009 Calder Cup Playoff series ticket packages are discounted and on sale now by calling the Aeros front office at (713) 974-PUCK. Games 'A' and 'B' will be the first two contests played at ToyotaCenter. The opponents, dates and times are still to be determined, and the action is guaranteed to be intense during the playoffs.
The Milwaukee Admirals have already won the West Division title and will host the No. 4 seed in the first round. The No. 2 seed will face the No. 3 seed in the division semifinals. Exact seeding may not be settled until the final regular season games have been played on Sunday, April 12. Detailed information on the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs bracket is available on THEAHL.com.
The Aeros will clinch their playoff berth by earning one point in their final three games or a QuadCity loss (regulation/OT/SO) in either of the Flames' final two games. Houston can earn a No. 3 seed by recording more points than Rockford over the final three games. Houston could earn a No. 2 seed by winning each of the final three games and Peoria losing their final two in regulation.
Houston will conclude the regular season with a three-in-three against the San Antonio Rampage April 10-12. The weekend includes two home contests (April 10 and 12) and the ZOOperstars! will be at ToyotaCenter on Sunday, April 12. On Saturday, April12 the team will take a road trip to visit the Rampage. Fans are invited to join the trip down I-10 to cheer Houston into the playoffs. The Aeros and Buc-ee's have two buses headed to San Antonio with 10 seats remaining. The last day to register for this trip is TODAY.
