A Monster Thank You To Our Fans

April 9, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Monsters News Release

Is there any better way to say "thank you" than by giving away cool free prizes? Not that we can think of! The Lake Erie Monsters are saying a MONSTER thank you to our fans this Saturday, April 11th, as the 2008-09 season comes to a close with "Fan Appreciation Night," presented by Dave & Buster's. The team will be giving away more than $100,000 in prizes when they host the Manitoba Moose at 7:30 p.m.

For their part, the Monsters players will actually be giving away the jerseys off their backs at the end of the night. Lucky fans will be chosen to receive the game-worn jerseys from the team on the ice immediately following the game...sweat and all!

Among the $100,000 in prizes handed out on Saturday will include: a once-in-a-lifetime ride in the Goodyear Blimp; a free year of Time Warner Cable; free burritos for a year from Chipotle; a mortgage payment from Quicken Loans; Hoover vacuums; and televisions from Aaron Rents. Fans will also have the opportunity to win tickets to local sporting and theatre events, including the Lake County Captains, Akron Aeros, Cleveland Playhouse and Playhouse Square; as well as gift cards to local restaurants and overnight stays at Cleveland-area hotels.

Saturday will be the final game of the Monsters 2008-09 season, their second in the American Hockey League. The team has already well surpassed their win total from their inaugural season in 2007-08, and have seen 15 players called up to NHL parent Colorado during the year. Thirteen of those players saw action with the Avalanche this season, including 10 of who actually made their NHL debut.

Individual tickets for Saturday's game begin at just $10 each and are on sale now by calling (216) 420-0000 or visiting LakeErieMonsters.com.
