The first-place IronPigs (48-36) play the finale of a two-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs (36-48) at NBT Bank Stadium... With a 9-2 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped three of their last four contests and have seen their lead in the North trimmed to 4.5-games -- the lowest its been since June 21 (4.0). Still, the Pigs have won seven of their last 12 contests and own a 19-10 record in their last 29 affairs... The Chiefs --Washington's top affiliate -- have won four of their last six games. In fact, the Chiefs are 6-4 over their last 10 contests after positing a 7-22 record from May 30 through June 28 -- a span that included a season-high, eight-game losing steak (June 9-16)... The Pigs swept the last meeting in a three-game series at Syracuse from May 18-20 and have won 22 of their last 34 affairs at NBT Bank Stadium.

RHP Enyel De Los Santos (8-3, 1.81) will start for LHV against RHP Phillips Valdez (3-4, 2.44).

First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m.

Next up for the Pigs is a three-game, home series against Rochester -- winners of three of its last four contests -- which begins tomorrow.
