Lexington's Duffy Added to Miller High Life Home Run Derby On USS Yorktown

CHARLESTON, SC- Lexington Legends infielder Matt Duffy has been added to the Miller High Life Home Run Derby that will take place from the deck of the USS Yorktown, which is stationed at Patriots Point. The derby is one of the events that is a part of the 53rd annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park and is presented by General Dynamics Land Systems Force Protection Industries, Inc. and the Charleston Restaurant Association. Duffy is replacing Charleston outfielder Tyler Austin, who withdrew from the competition.

Duffy joins a list of players that includes teammate Zachary Johnson, Asheville's Will Swanner and Harold Riggins and Savannah's Travis Taijeron, who will represent the Southern Division. The Northern Division players will be Rangel Ravelo and Mark Haddow from Kannapolis, Alen Hanson and Gregory Polanco from West Virginia and Matthew Skole from Hagerstown.

The first round of the contest will take place on the aircraft carrier on Monday afternoon beginning at 11am. It is free to attend as long as you mention the All-Star Game at the gate. The second round is scheduled to take place at 5:15 pm on Tuesday at The Joe, just prior to the start of the game. You will need a ticket to the game to attend the final round.
