Lemurs Top T-Bones

Laredo, TX - A three run rally in the second leads the Laredo Lemurs (35-27) to a 4-2 victory over Kansas City T-Bones (25-38) Monday night at Uni-Trade Stadium.

In the second the Lemurs would pick up five straight base hits giving them a three run lead with Mike Sheridan and Garrett Rau each singling to drive in a run. Rau would later score on a wild pitch in the frame to give the Lemurs a 3-0 lead after two.

The Lemurs would pick up their fourth run in the fifth, when Jimmy Mojica led off with the inning with a walk. John Alonso would then single Mojica to second base, with John Allen driving him home to put the Lemurs up 4-1.

Fabian Williamson (6-2) was stellar in his 11th start of the season, as he picked up the win and moved his record to an impressive 6-2. On the night, Williamson went seven, giving up two runs, on seven hits, with one walk, and three strikeouts.

T-Bones starter Ethan Cole (0-4) took the loss, going six and two thirds, giving up four runs, on 11 hits, with one walk, and two strikeouts.

The Lemurs will face the T-Bones two more times in this series with the Amarillo Sox coming into town for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
