Lemay Returned to Allen, Simoes Dealt to Rapid City

The Allen Americans announced today that Goaltender Adrien LeMay has been returned to Allen. The 21-year-old Moncton, NB native had been suiting up for the Texas Stars of the AHL since Tuesday, January 18th. The most recent call-up was the third such stint for LeMay this season. The goaltender is still in search, however, of his first in-game action in the AHL. In 17 games with the Americans this season, LeMay has put together a sparkling 11-2-1 record, alongside a 3.10 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.897%. The Americans have also announced that David Simoes has been moved to Rapid City in exchange for future considerations. In 25 games with Allen this season, Simoes has accumulated 2 goals and 6 assists for 8 points. The 25-year-old Vanderhoof, BC native has also notched 46 penalty minutes and a plus-23 rating during 2010-11.
Simoes will join the Rush immediately, as Rapid City is currently still in Allen after skating against the Americans on Sunday. The Americans return to action Wednesday night, February 2nd at home against the Tulsa Oilers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Allen Event Center. The Americans will then remain home to take on the Texas Brahmas Friday night at 7:30 PM, before traveling to NYTEX Sports Centre to face the Brahmas again on Saturday night.
