Texas Legends News Release

Frisco, TX MAR. 15, 2012 - Tonight the Texas Legends overcame a four-point deficit in the final minute to steal a win against the Idaho Stampede, 94-92.

Anthony Vereen made a three pointer on an assist from Antonio Daniels to pull the Legends within one with 45.7 seconds remaining. On Texas' next possession Daniels found his way to the rim for a lay-up giving the Legends the lead with 13.8 seconds left on the clock.

Vereen was sensational off the bench leading Texas with 20 points and a team high seven rebounds. Daniels registered nine assists while pouring in 17 points of his own for Texas.

Idaho spread the ball around as five players scored in double figures including Reggie Larry who contributed a team-high 19 points.

Texas struggled to stop Idaho on the glass, as the Stampede dominated the boards 47-37, but the Legends made up for their lack of rebounding by hitting shots beyond the arc making six of 14 attempts for 42.9%.

The Texas Legends (22-19) finish their four game road trip 3-1 and return to Frisco to face the Maine Red Claws (17-24) next Tuesday at Dr Pepper Arena at 7:00PM.
