Kora Shriners to be Recognized at Sunday's Game

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today joined with the Kora Shriners in announcing that the Shriners will be recognized at the March 18 game as the "Charity of the Night." The Shriners will use the opportunity to bring attention to the Shriners organization and raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children(r).

In addition to being recognized as the "Charity of the Night", members of the Kora Shriners will participate in multiple aspects of the game night presentation, beginning with the Shriners Legion of Honor who will open the game with the presentation of the colors and the game ball delivery. Paul Bacon will be honored as the TD Bank Home Court Hero during the second quarter of the game.

"The Maine Red Claws are proud of our association with a number of charities and nonprofits in the state of Maine," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "The Shriners are dedicated to improving the lives of children facing devastating illnesses and injuries as well as supporting their families during difficult times. The Red Claws are proud to welcome the Kora Shriners to our March 18 game and hope the opportunity brings them the recognition and fundraising opportunities that they richly deserve."

The Red Claws will take on the Austin Toros at 1 PM on March 18.
