Roberto Pena's two-run double broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth, and the Lexington Legends went on to defeat the Hagerstown Suns 6-2 Sunday night.

The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth. With one out, Hagerstown's Kevin Keyes doubled to right field. He advanced to third on Russell Moldenhaur's ground out to second, and scored on a single by Jason Martinson.

The Legends tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. Mike Kvasnicka's single and two walks loaded the bases with one out, and after Jhonny Medrano flied out to left field, Ben Orloff singled off the glove of Moldenhaur, the first baseman, scoring Kvasnicka with the tying run.

The Legends took the lead in the seventh. With one out, Delino DeShields Jr. bunted for a base hit and moved to second on a wild pitch. Jay Austin flied out, and when center fielder Michael Taylor slipped and fell after making the catch, DeShields, who had tagged up at second, came around to score the go-ahead run.

But the Suns drew even in the eighth when Kevin Keyes hit a solo homer. Lexington answered with four runs in their half of the eighth. Burnett led off with a single. After Medrano flied out, Orloff singled, moving Burnett to second. Bryce Lane walked, loading the bases. Roberto Pena doubled to left, plating Burnett and Orloff and moving Lane to third. DeShields followed with a single that scored Lane and Pena, giving the Legends their final margin.

Lexington starter Carlos Quevedo went seven innings, allowing just one run. Hagerstown starter Matt allowed one unearned run over the first six innings. Jorge DeLeon, who pitched the eighth and ninth, (5-4) got the win, while Tyler Hanks (0-1) was handed the loss.

The Legends will conclude their home stand tomorrow against the Suns. First pitch at Whitaker Bank Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
