Legends game suspended, will resume Thursday

The game between the Lexington Legends and Asheville Tourists at Applebee's Park in Lexington was suspended in the fifth inning because of weather conditions Monday night.

There was no score in the game. Asheville had runners at second and third with one out in the top of the fifth inning when the game was suspended.

The game will resume at that point at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday night. The regularly scheduled game will be played following the completion of the suspended game. The regularly scheduled game will be a seven-inning game.

The Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest will be held as scheduled outside Applebee's Park from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission to the Fun Fest is free. The Fun Fest offers batting and pitching cages, bungee runs, super slides, bounce houses, a "rookie zone," the Great Clips/Best Buy mobile video game arcade, a historic minor league baseball museum and many more.
