
Legends fall to Braves, 4-0

Lexington Legends News Release
Zeke Spruill allowed three hits through eight innings and earned his fifth win of the year without a loss as the Rome Braves shut out the Lexington Legends 4-0 Friday night.
Spruill gave up singles to Ebert Rosario in the third inning, Andy Simunic in the fifth, and Kyle Miller in the eighth.
Rome broke open a scoreless game with three runs in the fourth inning. Calvin Culver doubled and scored on a single by Gerry Rodriguez. Samuel Sime followed with another single. After a sacrifice, Braeden Schlehuber's double scored both Rodriguez and Sime.
Starter Ross Seaton (4-2) took the loss for Lexington. He pitched six innings and allowed three runs on eight hits.
The Braves added their final run in the eighth inning.
Lexington shortstop Ricardo Bonfante suffered a shoulder injury on a headfirst slide into second base in the sixth inning. Bonfante left the game and was replaced by Ramirez.
The Legends and Braves will wrap up the four-game series Saturday night. Henry Villar is scheduled to get the start for Lexington against David Francis. Both are right-handers. Game time is 7 p.m.
