Savannah, GA - The Lexington Legends snapped the Savannah Sand Gnats' four-game winning streak with a 10-1 win Tuesday night at Historic Grayson Stadium. The four-game winning streak was Savannah's longest of the second half.

The Legends (28-23/67-53) built a 10-0 lead as the Gnats (22-28/63-54) did not score until two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning when RF Charley Thurber singled home DH Albert Cordero who had doubled earlier in the frame.

Lexington scored in four different frames. The Legends began the scoring with two runs in the second inning, added a run in the third, and then chased Gnats starter Alex Panteliodis with four runs in the sixth inning. Panteliodis was charged with seven runs, six earned on 10 hits in his 5.2 innings of work. He did not walk a batter and struck out five. The seven runs Panteliodis allowed were his most in any start since May 16.

Both SS Matt Reynolds and C Cam Maron picked up two hits in the loss for the Gnats.

The Gnats and Legends play the rubber game of their three-game series Wednesday at 7:05 pm at Historic Grayson Stadium. The Gnats will send RHP Marcos Camarena (6-4, 3.35) to the mound against LHP Luis Cruz (9-5, 3.79). Gates open at 6 pm. Webkinz Wednesday

The first 200 children aged 12 years and younger through the gates at Historic Grayson Stadium, will receive a Webkinz stuffed toy.
