
Legends add Gant to pitching staff

LEXINGTON, KY. - The Houston Astros announced the promotion of pitcher Jamie Gant to Lexington. The right-hander comes to the Legends after a three-week stint with Tri-City of the New York/Penn League.
Gant was 0-0 with a 3.09 ERA in five appearances with the Valley Cats. Gant held the opponent scoreless in his last 8.2 innings.
Gant was selected by the Astros in the 29th round of the 2005 June Amateur Draft out of Mississippi State. The Winona, Mississippi native will wear jersey number 20.
