Delmarva dropped their second straight game to the Captains, 7-3. The Shorebirds jumped out to a two run lead after two innings on an RBI single by CJ Smith in the second and in the third a wild pitch allowed Patrick Scalabrini to score from third. After a scoreless top of the fourth, Lake County came up to tie in the bottom half on an RBI single from Trevor Crowe scoring Jose Ortega and a passed ball allowed Crowe to score later in the inning. The Captains came back with three more in the fourth and took a 5-2 lead on four hits in the inning scoring the first three to bat, Tim Montgomery, Fernando Pacheco, and Chris Gimenez. Lake County tacked on one in both the sixth and eight. CJ Smith lead off the ninth with a solo homerun to right for Delmarva. The Shorebirds left eight runners on and seven through the four.
