Legends Acquire Tyrrel Tate

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired guard/forward Tyrrel Tate from the available player pool.

Tate (6-5, 217, Fayetteville State) played 21 games with the Canton Charge earlier this season averaging 2.6 points, 1.7 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game. Tate played three seasons at Fayetteville State averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 81 career games and earning CIAA All-Conference honors his last two years. Tate was drafted by the Idaho Stampede in the 2014 NBA Development League Draft and saw action in 25 games (5 starts) as a rookie, averaging 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds in 14.3 minutes.

Tate has also played with the Moncton Magic in Canada the past two seasons averaging 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 34 games last year.
