FORT WAYNE, IN - The Canton Charge (20-28), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (26-20), 117-99, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Friday night.
The Charge we led by JaCorey Williams's 13th double-double of the season of 22 points and a season-high 17 rebounds in 41 minutes. Isaac Hamilton scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting and 4-of-8 from three-point range in 37 minutes. Scoochie Smith posted his first double-double as a member of the Charge by scoring 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with 11 assists in 39 minutes. Grant Jerrett had his third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 boards in 29 minutes. Gerald Beverly tied his season-best with 15 points on a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor.
Fort Wayne was paced by a team-high 16 points and seven boards in 38 minutes from Jared Uthoff. Stephan Hicks had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds with two steals in 40 minutes. Ben Moore came off the bench to provide the Mad Ants with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in 26 minutes.
