Lee Assigned to Gwinnett from AHL Portland

Goaltender Mike Lee has been re-assigned to the Gladiators from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League. Lee currently ranks second among all ECHL netminders with a 2.13 goals against average and a .918 save percentage in 25 games with Gwinnett. He has notched a 12-11-1-0 record with Gwinnett and has earned two shutouts this season.

The Rouseau, Minnesota native maked his second trip of the season to the AHL. He earned his second AHL win of the season last night as he helped the Portland Pirates to a 3-1 win over the Manchester Monarchs. Lee stopped 31 of 32 shots that he faced last night. In two AHL games this season, Lee has earned a .967 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average.

Voted as a reserve for the ECHL All-Star Squad, Lee notched 18 saves on 19 shots to preserve a three-goal advantage in the third period for the ECHL All-Stars en route to a 7-3 win over the Colorado Eagles in the ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday night.

The Roseau, Minnesota native has be twice named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week this season. He earned the honor for the week of October 22nd through the 28th and again for the week of November 5th through the 11th.

Lee was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft witht he 91st overall pick.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
