League-Leading Energy Fall 109-104 in Tulsa

DES MOINES, IA, December 19, 2010- A balanced Tulsa squad had six players reach double figures in scoring as the 66ers defeated the Iowa Energy 109-104 Sunday in Tulsa.

The game, which featured 13 lead changes and 15 ties, was tied at 83-83 early in the 4th quarter before Tulsa went on an 8-0 run capped by a Tweety Carter 3-pointer. The Energy would narrow the lead to 106-104 with 16.9 seconds left on an Othyus Jeffers layup, but a pair of Jerome Dyson free throws put the game away for the home team.

Curtis Stinson led Iowa with 24 points and 9 assists. Guard Kyle Weaver added 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Energy, who fall to 9-3 on the season.

Tulsa was led by Zabian Dowdell's 19 point, 9 assist effort. The win improves Tulsa to 7-5 on the season, including 2-1 against the Energy.

The Energy return home for games on Thursday, February 23rd and Saturday, December 25th, and Santa Claus will be at both games. Games start at 7pm. Tickets are available at www.dahlstickets.com, by calling 564-8550 or at the arena box office.
