
League-Leading Energy Fall 109-104 in Tulsa

DES MOINES, IA, December 19, 2010- A balanced Tulsa squad had six players reach double figures in scoring as the 66ers defeated the Iowa Energy 109-104 Sunday in Tulsa.
The game, which featured 13 lead changes and 15 ties, was tied at 83-83 early in the 4th quarter before Tulsa went on an 8-0 run capped by a Tweety Carter 3-pointer. The Energy would narrow the lead to 106-104 with 16.9 seconds left on an Othyus Jeffers layup, but a pair of Jerome Dyson free throws put the game away for the home team.
Curtis Stinson led Iowa with 24 points and 9 assists. Guard Kyle Weaver added 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Energy, who fall to 9-3 on the season.
Tulsa was led by Zabian Dowdell's 19 point, 9 assist effort. The win improves Tulsa to 7-5 on the season, including 2-1 against the Energy.
