El Paso Diablos News Release
El Paso, TX- A basic carbon copy of last night's mishaps lead to another Diablos loss, late game relief pitching fails the Diablos once again, the Diablos lose their three game series to the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
Just as last night's game, it was a great pitching duel from both teams, after giving up one run in the first inning, starting pitcher David Casillas was masterful going 6.0 innings, only giving up three hits, with eight strikeouts. Contrary to Casillas great pitching, the Diablo offense was stagnant, throughout the whole game.
As if it were last night again, the Diablos relief pitching came in and the game got out of hand, the RailCats scored four runs in the seventh inning to take a definitive 5-0 lead, which resulted in the final score.
The RailCats pitching and defense was good, but the Diablos had their chances to score throughout the game; in the six inning left fielder Oscar Mesa got thrown out at home trying to tie the game, and in the next inning first baseman tried to tack on the Diablos first run of the game but was forced out at home due to a nasty collision.
The Diablos now fall to 4-10, with one more game in there three game series with the Gary SouthShore RailCats. The Diablos play tomorrow night, 6:05 at Cohen Stadium, before going on a four game road trip to face the Wichita Wingnuts.
