Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the first three home playoff dates in the team's hunt for the 2012 Kelly Cup.
In the first round of the 2012 Kelly Cup Playoffs, which is a best-of-five series, the Wranglers will play at Orleans Arena on:
Game 3 - Thursday, April 5, at 7:05 p.m.
Game 4 - Friday, April 6, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Game 5 - Monday, April 9, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
With close races throughout the Western conference, first-round matchups between teams have not yet officially been determined. The three most likely first-round playoff teams for the Wranglers are the Utah Grizzlies, the Idaho Steelheads and the Stockton Thunder. No matter the first-round contender, the Wranglers will play game 1 on the road on Monday, April 2. Las Vegas is currently the third seed in the Western conference.
Playoff tickets are available through the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK (7825). Adult tickets start at $18, and youth tickets are $8. The Wranglers clinched a playoff spot on Friday, Feb. 24, after defeating the Alaska Aces 2-1 in a shootout. Tonight, the Wranglers battle the Aces for the final time in the regular season at 7:05 p.m. at Orleans Arena.
Last season, the Wranglers lost in the first round of the 2011 Kelly Cup playoffs to the Idaho Steelheads.
