
Las Vegas Meets Idaho In Round Two

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the playoff schedule for the second round of the 2007 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Las Vegas will play the Idaho Steelheads in the National Conference Semi-Finals starting with Game 1 at Qwest Arena on Sunday, April 22nd at 7:10 pm (PST). After Game Two in Idaho on Monday, April 23rd, the Wranglers will host the Steelheads for Game 3 at the Orleans Arena on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:05 pm. Game 4 is set for 7:05 pm on Thursday, April 26th and Game 5 (if necessary) will be on Friday, April 27th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. If needed, Game 6 will be in Idaho on Sunday, April 29th and Game 7 will be in Las Vegas on Monday, April 30th.

The same two teams will meet for the third time in the Kelly Cup playoffs in just four seasons. In 2004, Idaho won the final three games of the best-of-five series to defeat Las Vegas 3-2 in the series. Las Vegas came from behind after trailing 3-1 in the best-of-seven series to defeat Idaho last season in seven games. Both times the teams have met in the playoffs the series have gone the maximum possible games. Las Vegas and Idaho each have a 6-6 record in the playoffs against each other. The Wranglers posted a 6-3-1 record against the Steelheads this season. All but two of the games in the season series were decided by one goal. Six of the ten meetings were decided in overtime or a shootout.
Las Vegas will host Game 3 of the National Conference Semi-Finals on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
