Toledo's Angel Suspended Three Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Friday that it has suspended Toledo defenseman Brett Angel for three games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #E-2 against Cincinnati on Apr. 14.

Angel was assessed a minor penalty for roughing, a Game Misconduct and a Match Penalty at 13:26 of the first period.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 21.1 - Match Penalty and Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Angel missed Toledo's game at Cincinnati (Apr. 19) and will miss the first two games of the 2007-08 ECHL Regular Season.
