Vermont Lake Monsters News Release

BURLINGTON, VT --- Saturday's New York-Penn League game between Vermont and Connecticut was suspended in the top of the fifth inning with the Tigers holding a 2-0 lead over the Lake Monsters at historic Centennial Field due to rain.

The game will resume where it was stopped when Connecticut returns to Vermont on August 28th before that night's regularly-scheduled 6:05 pm game.

Connecticut took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the second and third innings off Lake Monsters starter J.C. Menna, while Vermont was limited to just one hit (a Sam Roberts one-out double in the third) over four innings by Brennan Smith.

Vermont (5-2) head out on a six-game roadtrip to Lowell and Connecticut before returning home for a quick two-game series against the Tri-City ValleyCats July 2nd at 6:05 pm and July 3rd at 1:05 pm.
