Kuhn named South Atlantic Player of the Week

KANNAPOLIS, NC- Intimidators infielder and outfielder Tyler Kuhn was named the South Atlantic League Player of the Week for June 1 through June 7.

Kuhn, 22, won the award on the strength of a .500 week, in which he went 14-for-28 with nine RBIs and four stolen bases. Kuhn is leading the Intimidators, hitting .315 with 25 RBIs and 17 stolen bases.

Kuhn may have wrapped up the honor on Saturday, when he went 7-for-9 over the course of a doubleheader while playing in leftfield.

Kuhn becomes the second Intimidators player to win the award in the last three weeks. Jon Gilmore claimed the prize May 18-24.

The Intimidators will return to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium for a two-game homestand starting on June 13. Seats for both games are still available at IntimidatorsBaseball.com, over the phone at (704) 932-3267 or in-person at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.
