
Komets Waive Rechlicz; Mallards Visit for Thanksgiving

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Wednesday that right wing Marc Rechlicz has been placed on waivers. Rechlicz was added to the Fort Wayne roster Nov. 3 and appeared in seven games (0 points, 26 penalty minutes).
Fort Wayne will host their 49th consecutive Thanksgiving game Thursday night at 7:30 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Quad City Mallards will visit for the holiday affair. The Komets are 30-14-4 in the past 48 Turkey Day games, winning the previous two and posting a 9-3-0 record over the last 12.
Friday the Komets will make their second of four visits this season to Evansville. The Komets have split the two games played against the IceMen thus far, winning the first meeting of the season 4-3 in Fort Wayne Nov. 6 before dropping a 3-2 decision at Swonder Arena in the last meeting Nov. 12.
Saturday the Komets return home for a rematch against the Mallards. It will be the fourth game in five nights for Quad City who started the week with a 3-0 loss at Tulsa last night. Quad City hosts Rapid City tonight before traveling to Fort Wayne Thursday.
