Kolnik Recalled by Panthers

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League today announced that the Florida Panthers have recalled right wing Juraj Kolnik.

Kolnik, 22, earns his second call-up of the season. He has appeared in 10 games with the Panthers registering one assist this year. He picked up his lone point on Dec. 18 in the Panthers 2-2 tie with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kolnik has played 46 games in the NHL during his three-year career scoring six goals and four assists for 10 points.

Prior to his recall, Kolnik had posted eight points (3-5-8) in his past seven games for San Antonio. For the season he ranks tied for second on the Rampage with 21 goals. The Nitra, Czech Republic, native has also handed out 13 assists and ranks fifth on San Antonio's roster with 34 points.

The Rampage (33-25-10-3) currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference standings with nine games remaining. San Antonio returns to action Thursday night against division rivals, the Houston Aeros, at 7:00 p.m. at the SBC Center. The game can be heard live on KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM with Andrew Monaco calling all the action.
