HOUSTON - The Houston Aeros clinched a berth in the 2003 Calder Cup Playoffs with Saturday's 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals. Houston boasts a record of 42 wins, 19 losses, seven ties and three overtime losses for 94 points in 71 games.

If the playoffs started today, Houston would be seeded second in the Western Conference behind the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Aeros would host the winner of a qualifying round match-up in the Conference Quarter-Finals. The Quarter-Finals are best-of-five games and the final three rounds are best-of-seven games.

The Aeros have nine games remaining in the season and play the next five on the road before finishing with four straight at home. The final game of the season is on Saturday, April 5 vs. Grand Rapids and the game may decide who finishes first in the Western Conference. Houston and Grand Rapids are currently tied with 94 points in 71 games and also play on March 23 in Grand Rapids.
