Hamilton' AHL Team Name, Colours to be Introduced Thursday

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced that they will be holding a press conference on Thursday, March 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Bulldogs dressing room at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. At this time an announcement will be made regarding the future team name and colours of Hamilton's Professional AHL Team.

Over 100,000 votes were made by Hamilton hockey fans in the 'You Make the Call' campaign at Hamilton area Tim Hortons stores, and on-line at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. Fans were encouraged to fill out ballots and choose one of three names: 'Bulldogs', 'Canadiens', or 'Habs'; as well as the colour scheme that the team will wear: 'Blue, White, Red & Bronze' (current) or 'Red, White & Blue' (Montreal Canadiens). Write in responses for both the team name and colours were also encouraged and tabulated as well.

All media are invited to attended the press conference. Please enter through the Bulldogs office doors located at 101 York Boulevard. Refreshments will be provided.
