
Koalska Recalled By Islanders, Lee and Jarmuth Up From Trenton

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the recall of center Matt Koalska by the big club. The Sound Tigers have also recalled center Mark Lee and defenseman Mike Jarmuth from the ECHL's Trenton Titans.
Koalska ranks among the Sound Tigers' leading scorers with 19 goals, 30 assists, 49 points and 82 penalty minutes in 75 games this season. This is the first trip to the NHL for the second-year pro who won back-to-back national championships in 2002 and 2003 with the University of Minnesota. Koalska wore number 40 and skated 10 shifts in the Islanders' 4-3 overtime loss at home to the Toronto Maple Leafs Thursday.
Lee has one goal and 10 penalty minutes in 25 games with the Sound Tigers, as well as six goals, 19 assists, 25 points and 30 penalty minutes in 36 regular-season games and tying for the team lead with two points, on one goal and one assist, in addition to posting two penalty minutes in one playoff game with Trenton.
Jarmuth returns after spending most of the season with the Titans totaling three goals, 24 assists, 27 points and 28 penalty minutes in 48 regular-season games and tying for the team lead with two assists and two points in two playoff games. He also notched one assist and four penalty minutes in 15 games with the Sound Tigers this season.
The Sound Tigers will finish the regular season with a pair of road games this weekend versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday at 7:05 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday at 7 p.m. All Sound Tigers games are web-cast live at www.soundtigers.com. The Sound Tigers will begin the Calder Cup Playoffs in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton next Thursday, April 20th in the first game of their best-of-seven East Division semifinal versus the Penguins. Game two will be in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday the 22nd with game three scheduled for Sunday, April 23rd at 3:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard.
