(PAWTUCKET, RI) -- The Charlotte Knights slugged three home runs en route to a commanding 8-0 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox on Sunday afternoon from McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI. The Knights won four of seven games against the PawSox this season.

Offensively, the Knights scored at least one run in each of their first five innings on Sunday. Shortstop José RondÏŒn launched his team-high 13th home run of the season in the second inning off Pawtucket RHP William Cuevas (7-6, 3.57), who was saddled with the loss. One inning later, left fielder Eloy Jiménez swatted his seventh home run of the season. His two-run blast gave the Knights a 4-0 lead at that point. Jiménez finished the game by going 3-for-4 at the plate with the home run and three RBIs. He has now hit safely in nine consecutive games.

Catcher Seby Zavala also homered on Sunday for the Knights. Zavala ripped a two-run home run in the fifth inning. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. It was his first home run as a member of the Charlotte Knights.

LHP Jordan Guerrero (3-0, 2.73) allowed just five hits over 5.1 scoreless innings to earn his third win of the season. The 24-year-old threw 109 pitches and struck-out four batters. Relievers Ricardo Pinto (2.2 IP) and Gregory Infante (1.0) held the PawSox scoreless over the final 3.2 innings.

The Knights will now return home to BB&T Ballpark to open a seven-game homestand on Monday. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. for the team's 7:04 p.m. opener against the Norfolk Tides. Pre-game radio coverage of Monday's game is set for 6:50 p.m. on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte.
