Kitchener Rangers Pick 14 in OHL Priority Selection

The Kitchener Rangers made a total of 14 selections on Saturday during the 2018 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore.

With their first-round selection, 17th overall, the Rangers selected right winger Reid Valade (pronounced Vah-LADD) of the Toronto Marlboros.

The 5'10", 160lbs Caledon, Ontario native played 55 regular season games, notching 31 goals and 38 assists for 69 points.

"We're extremely excited to select Reid today and welcome him and his family to the Kitchener Rangers," said Rangers general manager Mike McKenzie.

"His speed, skill and compete level make him a threat every time he's on the ice. He has the ability to be a dynamic offensive player for us in years to come."
