Kinsovling helps Freedom snap losing streak

Florence, Kentucky: 1,026 fans strolled through the gates at Champion Window Field, hoping to see the Florence Freedom snap their six game losing streak, and the streak halted, the Freedom won 5-4 in 12 innings.
With the Freedom trailing 2-0 in the third, Darin Kinsolving hit his 12th homerun of the season, which made it a 3-2 Florence lead, but DK wasn't finished quite yet. Trevor Hall added another three hit game, going 3-5. Scott Martin continued his consistent hitting, he also went 3-5, bumping his batting average up to .307. Freedom starter Mike Dennison left after the seventh inning, he went seven, giving up one earned run on nine hits, striking out six. Dennison also allowed two unearned runs. Curt Moenter entered the game in the eighth, and he pitched brilliantly. After the game was tied at four, Moenter stayed in to pitch in relief. DK struck again, smashing his 13th homerun of the season, which made the diffrence in the win. Moenter finished his night after the 11th, he went four, gave up just one run on one hit, striking out eight. Ted Rowe (7-3) picked up the win.
With the Freedom finally snapping their losing streak, they inch closer to Chillicothe, now down by just three games for the final playoff spot in the Frontier League East division. Florence wraps up the series tonight, on Wet Your Whistle Wednesday, all drinks are just $1. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
