
Kinney Tabbed as Redbirds All-Star

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds landed just one player on the Pacific Coast League All-Star team with Josh Kinney being named to the roster.
Kinney has appeared in a team-leading 33 games for the Redbirds this season. He is 1-2 with a 1.75 ERA and one save. The right-hander has struck out 47 batters in 46.1 innings. Kinney originally signed with the River City Rascals of the independent Frontier League out of Quincy University in 2001. The Cardinals purchased his contract from River City after he made only three appearances for the Rascals.
The PCL will play the International League All-Stars on Wednesday, July 12 in Toledo, OH at the Toledo MudHens' Fifth Third Field. The 19th annual Triple-A All-Star game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with game time scheduled for 6 p.m. CST.
