Sacramento River Cats News Release

West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats defeated the Fresno Grizzlies, 7-3, in the series finale between the two teams at Raley Field on Thursday night to prevent what would have been their second sweep by an opponent at home this season. The Cats scored at least once in 5 different innings highlighted by Hiram Bocachica's solo home run to left.

One and two hitters Mark Ellis and Andrew Beattie led the Sacramento offense, going a combined 5-for-8 with a run, 4 RBI, a double and a walk while Bocachica went 2-for-4 including his fourth inning blast. Cats Starter Jason Windsor earned his 7th win in 10 starts, giving up 4 hits, 1 run (earned), 3 walks and 10 strike outs, which matched Chad Gaudin's team season high individual game strike out total (Gaudin struck out 10 on May 9th at Oklahoma). With the win, the Cats move to 3 games under .500 at 39-42.
