RIVER CATS NOTES
The Sacramento River Cats lost tonight's game, 3-2,...they are now 78-65 on the season, 36-35 in the second half and 11-9 against Reno.
Trystan Vrieling made the start for River Cats tonight and picked up his second Triple-A loss in Sacramento's 3-2 defeat...went 4.2 innings allowing three hits, three runs, six walks and struck out seven...the first time Vrieling has had 7-plus strikeouts in three-straight games...one of three PCL pitchers to have three-straight 7-plus strikeout games (also, Jackson Ferris and Emmet Sheehan, both on OKC)...threw 100 total pitches, has now thrown 100 or more pitches in two out of four outings with Sacramento...now posts a 9.68 ERA (17.2 IP, 19 ER), allowing 31 hits, 14 walks and 25 strikeouts.
Parks Harber (2-for-4) shot a triple off the right field wall to start the bottom of the fifth, his first triple with Sacramento...his 14th multi-hit game with Sacramento...is now hitting .271 (54-for-199) with nine doubles, one triple, six home runs, 34 RBI, a .417 slugging percentage and a .782 OPS.
Zane Zielinski (1-for-2) made his Triple-A debut tonight after being promoted to Sacramento on September 13...hit .206 (28-for-136) in 42 games this season with Double-A Richmond with seven doubles, two home runs, 14 RBI, a .301 slugging percentage and a .551 OPS...also spent time in High-A Eugene where he hit .258 (41-for-159) with nine doubles, 20 RBI, a .314 slugging percentage and a .657 OPS.
Victor Bericoto (MLR) went 1-for-4 with a double in the bottom of the ninth...he is batting .261 (6-for-23) with two doubles, two RBI, a .348 slugging percentage and a .640 OPS in six games on rehab.
Dave Brundage was ejected in the bottom of the sixth inning by third base umpire Felix Neon for arguing a non-home run call...it marked his third of the season (also, May 1 and July 8).
ACES NOTES
The Reno Aces won tonight's game 3-2...they are now 64-81 on the season, 32-38 in the second half and 9-11 against Sacramento.
Yu-Min Lin made the start tonight for the Aces and picked up his ninth win of the season in Reno's 3-2 victory...went 7.0 innings allowing two hits, one run, zero walks and struck out six...now posts a 5.16 ERA (129.0 IP, 74 ER) allowing 129 hits, 59 walks, and 97 strikeouts.
Kade Strowd picked up his fourth save of the season...went 1.0 inning allowing two hits, one run, no walks and struck out twice...now posts a 6.15 ERA (45.1 IP, 31 ER) allowing 53 hits, 28 walks and 44 strikeouts.
Adrian Del Castillo (1-for-4) broke the game open in the top of the fifth with a 354-foot backside home run, his sixth with Reno...is now hitting .294 (30-for-102) with 11 doubles, six home runs, 18 RBI, a .578 slugging percentage and a .971 OPS.
