DURHAM, NC -- Nick Kingham again disproved the theory of a learning curve, continuing his torrid start to Triple-A with 6.2 innings without an earned run (1r) to pilot the Indianapolis Indians (46-32) to a 2-1 win over the Durham Bulls (43-37) on Tuesday night at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Indy's Triple-A rookie was in control all night long and faced just three above the minimum 20 through his 6.2 frames of work. Kingham allowed a mere two base knocks, only one of which went for extra bases, and issued two free passes while fanning five to pick up his second straight win. The dominant righty is now 2-0 with a 0.44 ERA (1ER/20.2IP) in three starts with Indianapolis.

As Kingham cruised, his offense eked out an early 1-0 edge in the second behind a one-out walk from Matt Hague, who quickly took second on a base knock from Chris McGuiness, before racing home on Mel Rojas' RBI single.

The Tribe then pushed across the game-winner on a series of Durham errors that made it 2-0 in the third, and following an unearned score by the Bulls that cut the lead to 2-1 after seven, Andy Oliver slammed the door with a scoreless ninth to earn his eighth save.
