
Kids Club Party tonight; World's Largest Pillow Fight on Friday

Monday, March 27 : Condors Kevin St. Jacques and Mike Hofstrand, accompanied by Account Manager Greg Lowe will be attending a special ceremony at Fairview Elementary at 1pm. St. Jacques and Hofstrand will be shaving the principal's head as part of an agreement made with the students for reaching a literacy goal. Fairview is located at 425 E. Fairview Road in Bakersfield.
Monday, March 27 : Members of the Condors Kids Club are invited to the annual "Meet the Team Party" at Hometown Buffet, 4221 South H Street, at 6:30pm. Members will enjoy food, games and of course time with their favorite Condors players and mascot Colonel Claw'd.
Thursday, March 30 : Tim Statezni, account manager, and Condors Sean Venedam and Nick Economakos will visit with children of the Sheriff's Activity League at 4pm. SAL is located at 1700 Flower Street in Bakersfield.
Thursday, March 30 :Experience the Condors Coach's Show live from 6-7pm at the Q Street Lounge inside the Holiday Inn Select or tune in to KGEO AM 1230 to listen to the broadcast. Condors Director of Media Relations Devin Rossiter and Head Coach Marty Raymond will be joined by Condors players for the weekly broadcast.
Friday, March 31 : Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will be at the Rosedale Wal-Mart Grand Re-Opening at 10am. The Rosedale Wal-Mart is located at 8400 Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield.
Friday, March 31 :The Bakersfield Condors, WB-TV 12, 106.1 KRAB Radio and American Business Machines host the World's Largest Pillow Fight . Fans are encouraged to bring a pillow and join the Condors as we attempt to set the Guinness World Record for largest pillow fight. Pillows will then be collected and donated to the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter and other local charities. The current world record consists of 3,548 participants set in New York at the University of Albany, on April 17, 2005. 1,044 fans participated in the Condors first attempt to break the record last season.
Saturday, April 1 : Join Condors Scott Borders, Andrew Ianiero, Joel Irving and Nathan Tennant at Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill following the Condors home game. Tailgaters is located across from the Rabobank Arena at 900 Truxtun Avenue #110.

Thursday, April 6 : Jamie Cooke's Team Canada Jersey to be raffled - You have a chance to own a piece of history! Former Condor Jamie Cooke is donating his 2003 game-worn Team Canada jersey from the Pan Am Games to be raffled in an opportunity drawing by Fairview Elementary School. Thursday, April 6th, the "Day of the Child Festival" will take place at Fairview Elementary School from 5:30-7:30pm. At the end of the evening, the winner of the opportunity drawing will be announced, the winner does not need to be present to win. For more information on how you can purchase a ticket for the drawing, contact Mary Lou Martinez by phone 747-9552 or by email martinezm@gfusd.k12.ca.us. You can also stop by the Fairview Elementary school table on the main concourse on Friday, March 31st at the Condors home game. Jamie Cooke suited up for the Condors from 1999- 2003 and will represent Team Canada as captain in the World Games this July, then again in the 2007 Pan Am Games. Proceeds from this drawing will help less privileged children attend an educational field- trip.
