Playoff March Notes
- The top six teams in the American Conference's South Division qualify for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
- Seeds 3 - 6 will play in a best-of-three wild-card round between the dates of Monday, April 10th and Thursday, April 13th. The top two seeds in the Division receive a bye from the best-of-three wild card round.
- The Gladiators clinched a 2006 Kelly Cup Playoff berth with a win over Pensacola on Tuesday, February 28th
- The Gladiators clinched a bye in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with a win over Pensacola on Friday, March 24 coupled with a loss by the Greenville Grrrowl that same night.
- All six playoff spots have already been secured with Pensacola and Columbia being eliminated during the week of March 20th though March 26th. Teams are now battling for positioning.+
- Augusta was the last team to clinch a Kelly Cup Playoff berth, beating Florida on Sunday, March 26 to secure the playoff berth.
- If the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs were to begin today, the Gladiators would be the #1 seed in the South Division of the ECHL as well as the top seed in the American Conference.
- Gwinnett is 3 points from clinching the top spot in the Division and the American Confernece.
- Gwinnett has already set new team records for points in a season with 99 and wins in a season with 46.
- The Gladiators will open the Division Semi-Finals (2nd round) on Saturday, April 15th at 7:35 p.m. with Game 2 of the series on Sunday, April 16th at 4:05 p.m.
- Greenville and Florida are battling for the one remaining first round bye. South Carolina, currently in 4th, cannot pass the Everblades for second place in the division and the bye.
