Stingrays Top Gladiators On The Road

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


South Carolina lost a seven game unbeaten streak on Saturday night but bounced back with a 4-3 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators on Sunday. The Stingrays finished the week with a record of 1-1-1, with a shoot out loss to Florida, a regulation loss to Greenville and the win in Gwinnett.

The Rays now have a record of 30-22-13 and a firm hold of first place. The Stingrays now have an eight point lead on the Charlotte Checkers for fourth place and home ice in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Evan Schwabe helped the Stingrays in their first victory in Gwinnett on the season, scoring two goals and two assists as the Rays cashed in on three power play goals. The Stingrays have three games remaining at home and four games left to play on the road. At home the Rays have a mark of 16-9-8. On the road the Rays are 14-13-5.

"Birth Night" Friday, March 31st

Attention soon to be Moms! Birth night is coming March 31st. Expecting mothers are encouraged to call the Stingrays office at 744-2248 to register to get two free tickets to the game and a chance to win hundreds in prizes from Baby Bloomers, Rooms to Dream, BiLo Carolina Florists and Wal-Mart.

The first expecting mother to give birth after the drop of the puck on March 31st wins the grand prize. . Limit is 30 soon to be moms. All must check in at the Promo Table in Section 120 and be present for the puck drop @ 7:05 p.m. Once the Puck is dropped they will be able to leave. The fathers will have the opportunity to be on the ice to win small prize packs.
