June 13, 2016 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Frederick Keys News Release
Frederick, Md. - The Frederick Keys close out the first-half with their most exciting homestand yet. Over three days, the team will celebrate one of Nickelodeon's most iconic shows, host a meet-and-greet with one of the top antagonists in sports movie history and celebrate Father's Day. Fans will want to book their tickets quickly by calling the box office at 301-815-9939 or visiting frederickkeys.com.
On Friday, June 17 the Keys will host their second annual 90s Nickelodeon Night. First pitch is at 7 and gates open at six, as the night will be Hey Arnold! themed. One of the top animated series in the network's history, the show focuses on the daily life of Arnold-a fourth-grader with a wild imagination, street smarts and a head shaped like a football.
To celebrate the show, both the Keys and the visiting Lynchburg Hillcats will wear specialized jerseys. Frederick's uniforms will be inspired by Arnold, while the Hillcats uniforms will reflect the typical outfit of Arnold's best friend on the show, Gerald.
There will also be a number of special surprises and Hey Arnold! themed games throughout the night. After the game there will be fireworks courtesy of Mattress Warehouse.
On Saturday at six, the fun continues with Happy Gilmore Night. This includes an appearance by the movie's antagonist Shooter McGavin (played by actor Christopher McDonald). McDonald will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs, while the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a Shooter McGavin bobblehead presented by Pretzel and Pizza Creations. Fans can also look forward to postgame fireworks courtesy of Quincy Village.
The first-half concludes on Sunday with Father's Day at 2 p.m. Those looking to take their dad to the game can enjoy a special experience by purchasing a Father's Day First package, by calling 301-815-9900. Additionally, it is a Sunday Funday presented by Chili's. From 1-1:30 fans can enjoy a catch in the outfield and get autographs from two Keys players.
For tickets to the final first-half homestand, fans can call the Keys at 301-815-9939 or visit frederickkeys.com.
