The Salem Red Sox (40-23) open up a three-game homestand with the Potomac Nationals (30-31) tonight at LewisGale Field. LHP Matt Kent (5-3, 3.57) climbs the hill for Salem against Potomac RHP Dakota Bacus (0-2, 4.82).
Salem's magic number to clinch the first half division title stands at 1. A win or a Myrtle Beach loss to Frederick gives the Red Sox the championship.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
