
Kernels get "In the Pink" on Thursday

Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Cedar Rapids Kernels will be wearing pink jerseys Thursday, August 10th. Oncology Associates of Cedar Rapids is sponsoring the pink cancer awareness jerseys to raise awareness of all forms of cancer. These pink game jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to raise money for Relay for Life and Cancer Research. Three of these special pink jerseys will be given away that night to three lucky fans chosen at random.
Also, the first 500 fans will receive a special commemorative pink baseball courtesy of Oncology Associates of Cedar Rapids. All survivors of cancer in attendance will be recognized on the field before the game.
The gates open at 6:00 PM, and the game starts at 7:00 PM.
